Default Classic vehicles?

Why do people crush classic chevy's...like old muscle cars and or old trucks..it makes me sad whenever i see one crushed? I am a car enthusiest and i know that every vehicle can have a new life if someone has the heart to do it. Like myself I am 16 years up and I am restoring a 1968 chevy k20 with a 327. And the other truck is a 1980 k20 scottsdale with a 350. It is not worth crushing old vehicles like that?
