Default What size transmission will fit into a 1987 porsche 924S?

I'm looking at replacing my transmission but want to replace it with a manumatic instead of the crappy 3-speed automatic that I have in it now.
I'm not planning on selling the car. I've replaced the engine so i'm basically just rebuilding the whole thing. Are there any other transmissions from other cars that would fit?
