What kind of car should i buy?

I got into a really bad car accident and my car was totaled. It in now time for me to get another. I had an 01 Sonata and i kinda want to stay in the Hyundai family. I am about to graduate college so i dont want anythin too expensive but at the same time i dont want a really cheap car. I want a car that is fairly new....i was reading somewhere that it is smarter to buy a fairly used car because the car derpreciates so much within the first few years that you will be paying a lot less. I was thinking about the 06-07 Sonatas which are about 15,000 What other cars are out there for around the same price? I want a really safe car, and a car that is good on gas. Also how much will all the extra stuff be (tax tags title) and could i use the same tag from the 01 Sonata on whichever new car i get?
I also want the car to be insurance friendly (nothing that will make the insurance extremely high)
