How to repair 01 Nissan ac/heater fan?
The fan motor has four speeds and none work. In the last little while when the fan was running there was extra noise seemingly from the engine compartment. I have checked fuses all ok! What next? Really don't want to go to the dealer for repairs...$$.

you may want to check and see if you are getting power to your fan. Use a test light or a volt meter if so then you fan is dead. If not then it may be your control switch in the car. Normally the noise you heard come from the bearing in the fan right before it locks up. Good luck
