Default why do i my sensors come on why i install my cold air intake on my new eclipse?

i bought a cold air intake for my '07 eclipse but when i had it installed my check engine light and my traction control off sensor came on. any ideas as to why the intake caused the 2 light sensors to turn on would be very much appreciated.

Hmm, check engine light usually has to do with emissions. Maybe something to do with the mass air flow sensor or something like that. The traction control should be an unrelated system unless somebody disturbed some wiring coming off one of the front wheel sensors while doing your installation.
Wish I could be of more help.
