1995 Lincoln town car starts then shuts off?

My town car started, then shut off i tried restarting and after three attempts, i waited a few hours. I and tried restartng it again and started right up. It hasn't happened again in over 20 starts. Mechanic couldn't find the problem since the car always started for him but he did mention may be it's the anti thief devise. Is there a way to dis-arm this devise, i don't need it. And or has anyone else had this problem?? others posted to check the crank position sensor and ignition control module. but if for some reason the anti theft devise is tripped the car won't start. Thanks for your help.
