Default If i disconnect the rear axles from a awd subaru will it be fwd?

If i disconnect the rear axles from the rear diff on a awd subaru will it be fwd, or will the open rear diff prevent the power to get to the ground via the front wheels

or disconnect the drvieshaft going to the rear differential, will it be a front wheel drive
