Default 2000 Pontiac Sunfire WENT OUT!?

I was just driving and it just went out, pressed the gas didnt respond, rolled into the gas station.Put some V-Power gas in it and replugged some wires(sorry dont know to much about fixing cars). It started back up fine,Today I drove it around a little bit, and when i started it up it stalled jsut aitny bit before it started.

On my way back in town it went out again, and the gasoline light started blinking, and the gas hand showed e.Turned it off for aobut 30 seconds, Turned it back on and the gas hand showed 1/4th a tank, and drove it home just fine.

Anyone know what the problem could be?Could it be bad gas?
I also noticed both times it went out i wan on top of a hill if that makes any differnce.
