I have a '93 Jeep Cherokee 4x4, automatic with the 4.0L inline 6. I am attempting to remove the engine for repair. I have removed the starter, the cover on the transmission bell housing, 4 driveplate to torque converter bolts, 2 large bolts that connect the transmission to the engine on either side of the bell housing and the motor mounts. The transmission is supported. I've pushed, pulled, yanked, wiggled, shaked, and pryed, but the engine is still firmly connected to the transmission. How can I sperate them?
