That depends on when you started the lease,who you leased it with,and the stipulations of your contract. Most auto leasing agents set their own guidelines. You may have to pay up to 1 year, (on time) before you can get out of the contract,and after doing that,they still may charge you for an "early deferment". (in other words),if you try to get out of the contract,before it expires,they may want some sort of payment for the paperwork they did,or the bank who leased it to them (so you can have it) may include a surcharge. It's best to carefully read your contract!.(especially the fine print). If still in dought?,then go back to the dealership,and ask them what the consciences would be.

see if you can sign it over to someone else. Or... you can crash it. just don't get caught for fraud. you can go to jail for that.
