Mazda 3 Horsepower boost?

Now im not very engine techie, but i have an '07 Mazda 3 and i wanted to get a big boost in horsepower and maybe handling. What would anyone suggest that i do? and how much would it cost?

trade it for a mazdaspeed3

don't bother to modify a car when a faster model of the same car is available from the factory

trade the car in for something worth modifying

well it depends on how much power you want do you want to go with a turbo or a supercharger? but that could really mess with your gas mileage and if you end up messing one of them up the price for repair is is expensive. I would say to just buy an intake , exhaust, pulleys, headers and tune it or you can always run on nitrous since your car is an 07 the engine should probably handle it and you might have to make some mods if you go with nitrous
