Are the rotory motors in the Rx-7s (93-02) pretty reliable?

My buddy is interested in one and wanted to know if their pretty reliable for a sports car. I hear the apex seals love to go on them though so i dont know....

If you know what rotary engines are and how they work and how to take care of them ,then yes they are reliable.

For example, they can not use synthetic oil like all sportscars and luxury cars are required to do.
They much be driven every day or they might not start the next day if you leave it sitting. The oil needs to be pushed into the engine by revving the engine more often. This uses gas, but makes the rotary engine last longer.

There are many other things about rotary engines your friend should know before buying one.
