The first real question is do you want to do it the right way or do you want to rice out and be part of the in crowd like every other d0uche bag on the road.
Honestly my friend, I'd start by searching out a good Lexus forum and read, read, READ all the articles you can find on your car to better educate yourself on your cars basic pros and cons. This will also help you understand what your cars needs are in performance and help you better decide what your first steps should be.
Second, consider how much you want to spend. Increasing power under the hood is a costly game and also by tweaking your motor beyond stock specs can cause you problems if you don't know what you're doing. There really isn't any easy answers to your question because engine mods are not simple. Also, remember that by increasing your motors performance, you may also be decreasing its reliability for two reasons. The first being that your motor may not be designed for what your doing and second because you may not have prepared your motor properly for said turbo, supercharger, or nitrous.
Third, before you consider speed, consider all the other things that will also have to be added to properly balance your vehicles performance. Stock vehicles may sometimes feel mundane and under powered, but they are tuned and balanced by the factory. Once you start tuning your engine up, you'd be an idiot to not balance out your suspension, stopping power, safety restraints, and so on. This will also cost more money, so consider small steps first before you buy into the whole "I GOT NOS" ghetto riceboy subclass. For example, I invested in a true brake system from Baer, a few sway bars, and Tein suspension well before I even picked up my turbo. Logically thinking if you're going to drive fast, you'd better be able to stop fast too.
Also, for the love of God, please consider if what your putting on your car is functional or not. Personally, anyone who sticks anything on their car cause it "looks cool" but has no real function is a d0uche. Sure you'll get props from all the other ricers and people who don't know any better, but the real track heads and tuners will more than likely laugh and walk away.
Lastly, in the end its your car. Do what you want with it and play safe out there.
