What does the 'L' mean on a Saab 9-5 ARC 2.3T automatic transmission mean?

I have a Saab 9-5 ARC 2.3 with the Turbo and the optional Sport mode. I have an automatic transmission and it says 'L' below all the usual P, R, N, D. what does it mean, the L?
