Default Do new car prices vary from state to state?

I live in Chicago and am planning on buying a new car. Indiana is about 15 minutes away and I'm wondering if I would get a better deal from there. I know that dealerships in the suburbs are cheaper than ones in the city. But would another state offer better deals?

Prices do vary by state. The difference is there will be no discount between the 2 areas as they are so close to each other. Areas where the economy suffers sometimes have smaller incentives compared to others. Most incentives are also based on regions and not states. why don't you research your car online at edmunds.com or go to the manufacturers website and do the same as well as check incentives for your region by typing in your zip code. You can then, if you research other zipcodes, check incentives there to see if different.
