Default i just posted the question on how to buy a car through ebay here is what was

told to me EXACTLY? "The car is already at the shipping company in Manhattan,New York sealed and ready for the shipping.
I have a contract with eBay so this deal must go through them. I'm very busy with my job and I'm left out of the town so I can't meet in person with you so this is the reason why I chose to sell my car over the internet. According with the eBay you have 5 days from the time you receive the car to inspect it and decide if you want to keep it or not.
1.First I will need
- Full Name
- Full Shipping Address
2. After I will receive the details from you, I will forward them to
eBay.
3. After they will process your info, they will send us both invoices. The invoice will show details on how to make a refundable payment.
4. eBay will contact me and I will ship the car to you. After you
receive the car you will have 5 days to test, verify and do whatever you need to the car.If you will buy then I will receive the payment details frm ebay to pick up the money
(continued in details)
5. If you will decide that you will not buy the car, eBay will refund
the money and I will have the shipping company come pick up my car.
If you wish to make the transaction, please send me the necessary
info
so that we can proceed. I look forward to hear from you.
Thank you"

Ok so what do u think does it still sound like a scam???
Is there a way i can find out this is legitimate so i wont lose my money. Like can i call ebay to make sure or something??

you dont have the car to see but you send money first thing... i answer this before you dont ever buy a car online that you cant drive or touch... .... now after everyone told you before not to do it as well as i did.. its your money so do what you want imjust trying to save you some money when you send the money thru paypal they can draw it out then and it will be gone and you have nothing.. but dont listen to what others are saying go ahead and get it man it just what you wanted.... i bet they are a new user on ebay they dont have many reports to go by good deals right.. they are not where the car is working out of state no out of country.. you will not like the outcome of this man you want a car go buy one off the street

It sounds like a scam to me. I would NEVER pay for a car without seeing and testing it first. No matter what the seller promised me about a refund.

It's a scammer. I have received those myself. That first note is just the lead-in to what they actually want you to do.

Here's the deal. Tell the guy you want his phone number so you can talk about this deal. tell him instead of shipping the car you will be in the area on business and you want to come check out the car and if it's acceptable, you'll pay for the car and drive it home.

Ask hime for the name and phone number of the shipping company so you can verify the location of the car. Tell him you want a copy of the registration and title.

You'll probably never hear from the guy again.

It's a SCAM. Getting into a situation where the seller is shipping cars is a high risk transaction. Unless this is some rare or highly collectible car, find one locally.

Go to the eBay site and look for "ways to avoid scams" and this scenario will be listed as one to avoid.

I have 370 transactions on ebay, including buying and selling 4 motorcycles.

Post a link to the auction and I can tell you if its
BS or not.
