Default What gm engine is superior the 5.7lt1 or 5.7 vortec?

I have a 1995 suburban and I know the vortec is the stock motor but i know little about the engine. Ive had experience with the lt1 in my firebird. What are the pros and cons of each when compared with each other?

i believe they are nearly identical.. apples and apples! they are both decent engines, i cannot think of any major differences. so pros and cons , are virtually impossible to define!
