Default What should I do if a car dealer cheated on me? Help ASAP?

I bought a used car through ebay.I trusted on the seller becasue he is 100% positive feedback power seller. I found that the seller is a very small car dealer in the country area (about 1 hour from my house: I live in a city). He is also doing a mechanic in his car gargae. This car was inspected this month. After paying for car and paper work while I drove it to return to home, the check signal was lit. Next day( it is today) morning, I went to a mechanic. A mechanic was shocked at the truth that it is passed in the PA inspection. He said that a dealer intended to cheat on me by resetting the engine and not saying about really bad rear struts condition. Also, I need to fix transmission. He recommended me to return it to a cheating dealer. I tried to contact him several times. He did not answer. What should I do? Can I return and refund my money from hime? Also, where can I report him in order to cancel his license for car inspection? Let me know ASAP.thank you for your help.

sorry about your problem... but hey you have learn one lesson... you dont buy something til you have check it out first.... sorry but if you would have check the car out before handing him the money you would have seen the struts leaking.... if you had drove it 30 minutes you should have notice the way it shifted.... most cases when you buy a used car you buy as is.... so here is what you do... first you walk around the car looking down the sides for dents and discolor paint...... you look under it for wet spots or oil.... you look at the tires for uneven wear... you check the tail pipe for black or wet.... then you open the hood look for any leaks wet spots of any kind.... dust sign of a leak.... then you get in and start it listen to how it starts and then you check every button and switch.... then you drive it 30 mniutes and recheck everything you check before..... while driving it you stop hard you take off hard ... you twist the wheel in your hands see how it drives.... when you get back and you look at the motor again listen... you look under it again you check the tail pipe again... then if you have any questions you walk away and find another one..... so did you check the oil before you started it.... sorry did you drive it 30 minutes... hard like it was your car........ well you could go back and complain and you could report him ... but more than likey its not going to do much good

99% of check lights are for stupid little things.

A pair or rear shocks might cost a couple hundred dollars.

How bad can the trans be? You drove it.

Maybe the mechanic is the bad guy?

Maybe the car is only a couple hundred dollars from being a nice car.
