I have a 2008 Honda Civic and it shows I have 30 % oil life left how many miles

about ? Before I would need a oil change. And is this % thing just to let you know an oil change is due ??
I drive mainly highway miles
Think about 2000 miles more .......Seeing with the new cars now they don't go by the old school every 3000 miles change oil. They go by the percentage
