Lost 1999 9-3 Saab key (with built in remote)?

Hi i lost my 1999 9-3 Saab key. Now the alarm was not set and the doors are al unlocked. Does this make a difference. I am not wanting to spend a ton of money. There has to be a way around the pricey procedure of replacing twice and trasnponder etc...Couldnt i get the key from dealership...and just not have the auto trunk, window and door opener?? And with new key have locksmith come and program?? Or does ANYONE no ANY OTHER way??? please tell...dealership wanted 940 for this not includnig cost of tow.

If it has a chip in it, then you have to get it from the dealership.
