Default I'm looking at buying a 1995 Civic with 120,000 miles on it. Will it still last long?

I mean it is a car thats 13 years old now... when i buy it it is my intention to buy it for a long term use (like 4 or 5 years). with 120,000 miles on it and it being a 95, should i risk it?

its a 2 door coupe, no rust on body at all, suprisingly,

Question 2: How do i prevent it from rusting in the future? civics of these years now are known for rusting bad especially around the wheel wells. is there anything i can do to prevent it from rusting? if i wax it ever couple months with a good quality wax would that stop future rust?

If it's a decent deal, go for it, hondas will last a hell of a longtime as long as you take good care of them. My friend has one at 430K miles that still runs.
I've got a 94 civic myself and it runs like a champ and it has about 170K miles. I haven't had any trouble with rust though, so I can't really help you there, sorry

Look buddy,

I had a 1989 accord with 180,000 on it and it ran very smoothly. Got rid of it two years ago for a nicer looking car, but it still had a young heart....although ive crossed over to the VW side, hondas last forever...

Rusting problem: depends what state your in. if your state snows and they use errosion salt for the snow, then it will rust no matter if its a honda or a mercedes benz...I dont think wax will prevent rusting..Talk to a few mechanics locally and see if you get similar feedback..

nope. well, i guess it depends on the deal that u are getting for the car also. just with my experience any cars. with that amount of miles and anything in the mid ninties I won't f*ck w/ it. That is an engine problem wating to happen.
I had an 92 Lexus( I fixd it up with spinners, tvs, and everything)
I had an 97 malibu
I had an 94 lumina
***all of these cars had engine problems after about 6 to 7 months.
