This is 1991 Jeep Wrangler that I bought last year. It's a 4-cylinder engine and I expected to be getting good gas mileage, but this is eating me alive! I'm currently getting about 14 MPG.

if you have the option keep it off of 4WD, that takes a lot more gas. Also make sure that you have the right tires and that they are inflated properly.
Other than that; the wranglers weren't designed to be fuel efficient cars, so you're probably better off going to a newer or smaller, more efficient vehicle. 4 cyl doesn't automatically mean more gas efficient, altho you'd think so ![]() |
