Is a 2000 Subaru Outback Sedan a Good Car? I found a really nice 2000 Subaru Outback Sedan Limited at a local used car dealer. Its got leather, heated seats, a sunroof, side airbags, ABS and of course AWD. I didn't expect I would fall in love with it when I test drove it, but I did. They're asking $4995, which is right in my price range, the only bad thing is that it has 144,000 miles on it. My parents are opposed to it because it has high mileage, but my step-mom has a 2000 Outback Wagon and it now has156k miles on it, so I know they last a long time. Is 144k miles is too much? Will it be a good car? Will it last 4 years and 60k more miles (with regular maintenance)?
I live in Northern VT and commute 80 miles to school three days a week, so I put a few miles on. But I want a safe, reliable car and one I don't have to worry about getting stuck on the Heights I go over on my way to school. |
