Default 2000 trans am ws6 throttle body?

i want to install a throttle body spacer but my throttle cable is crossing over where i need to install it. before anyone says they are crap, i have already installed one on my 2002 v6 firebird,( the throttle cable wasn't in the way). and have noticed good results in mpg and small hp gain. but my question is how would i extend the throttle cable the 1 inch i need to make room.
