1999 Mazda Miata constant slave cylinder problems?

I have had my 1999 Miata for about 3 years and I have replace the slave twice already and it is out again. It is not because the brake fluid is leaking out because it is always full. The problem I keep experiencing is after I drive my car on the interstate for about 20 miles when I get off an exit I have no clutch but after a 10 to 20 seconds it gradually comes back and then I can drive it around the city with no problem. Changing the slave cylinder fixes the problem for about a year or so and then the same symptoms come back. How would I know if it is the master cylinder and any suggestions about how to make them last longer?

well...i would have never got a mazda they have major problems with the master cylinder...i had a 2 mazda miata and i just use them as derby cars...man that was fun...
