The GTI is redesigned for 2010 with the bulk of changes on the outside. To distinguish itself as the high-performance version of the Golf, the GTI adds a black honeycomb grille with red striping, spoiler, more aggressive front and rear bumpers plus dual tailpipes. The Golf is also new for 2010.
Underneath not much has changed: The same 200-horsepower, turbocharged four-cylinder is standard, as is a six-speed manual transmission. On the inside, the GTI gets a new dashboard, door paneling, steering wheel and instrument cluster.
Pricing hasn’t increased significantly for 2010 with the GTI now starting at $23,290, up $60 from the 2009’s starting MSRP. |
