Default 2007 Duramax intermittent dead battery.?

My 2007 Duramax will leave me sitting. It will start fine after sitting for 3 or 4 days, then I will drive 5 miles shut it off and then Click, Click, Click, dead battery or bad connection ??? Then after Jumping it, not easy by the way, the dash lights and gauges freak out for a while and then are fine. Drive 5 more miles turn it off and it will start right up. No rhyme or reason. Sometimes dead sometimes not. Can anyone help?
