Default Is a Salvage Title worth the buy?

im looking to buy my first car monday and i found a 2008 pontiac g6 gt for $7,900 but its a Salvage Title its a Salvage Title because i guess it rear ended someone and the guy said he bought it from a car dealership like that and he said they told him they replaced everything but do u think its worth it i have a 7 month old baby and i cant afford to have it break down

If it got rear-ended, what would cause it to break down?

Nothing related to the engine is in the back.

Just simple logic....

only if you know exactly what was salvaged (why, what parts etc...) and how well they did repairing the car.

I personally wouldnt buy it because that must have been a bad rear end accident for it to be a total loss (it becomes salvaged when somebody fixes it) There might be structural damages to the car and you cant really repair that part. I thnk you should keep on looking

carfax it and if what the guy said was true I would buy it (If a dealer had it then it should show up on the carfax), ask for a lower price though since it does say salvaged vehicle.

You need to get a special inspection to get the car inspectable and/or insurable. Factor that into your budget and time.
