Why do people think their used cars are worth so much ?

I went to check out this car it was a 95 kia. Nothing great and wonderful the man wanted 4500 which I had. Then he started running down a list of repairs that ran close to 3000 for that I could get a new car or one used that is just a couple of years old. Why do men think there cars are worth so much?

I am thinking your not so wise as you think. the man was honest. when an honest man says something, hes already thought of the repair, but it obviously ran right? now think of this he could be 40,000 off(miles).(i wouldnt be, id tell you when it needed attention)thats probably the best type of person to buy off of. he told you the history, no file needed.
