Default I need advice on what vehicles i should be looking at.?

I am kinda looking for a vehicle now and i dont mind buying used. these are the things im looking for in a vehicle: 1989-2003, good at offroading or driving on rough roads, no less than 20 mpg hwy but 25-ish preferred, enough room for multiple people and their stuff, and switchable 2-wheel drive to 4-wheel drive. Are there any suggestions as to a make or model that i should look into? any i should avoid? why?
