My saturn doesn't start when it's cold, but will start after a bit....?

Really odd. I always thought it was a battery problem, but everything works fine. Power everything works...lights are bright. But I used to charge it anyway...would take a while but it would start. However, one day I didn't have anything to jump with and it just started after 15 minutes.

So now i'm not bothering with the fake charge thing. I go out early in the morning...it wont start, come back in 5 minute incriments and it starts eventually. WTF?

does anyone have a good idea of what is going on with this piece? it's a 2005 Saturn Ion2.
