2001 Toyota 4 runner / Speedo inop, severl dash lamps on / dealer tried speedo

generator, didnt work? truck was sitting for 3 weeks then problem appeared when we went to crank it up. Dealer now wants to try a brake control module @$1500.00 PN 8954035270
