 Is it legal in New York State for an insurance company to add someone to the... ...policy retroactively? My parents' insurance (Liberty Mutual) wants to retroactively add me to the policy for at least the past 2 years, because I was in an accident with their car. I haven't lived there since 2005 because I went away to college, but my license had their address. And I've been on my fiance's lease since may 2008 and have other proof of residence here since at least 2006!      |
