Default Do I have to have my permit for 6 months before I go out for my drivers...

...test?? (I'm from Maine)? I just got my permit in late September and I wanted to know if Maine drivers needed to have their permits for 6 months before they went in for a test. My slip for my recording hours says nothing about it so I don't think I have to wait 6 months.
