Default craigs list scam? or not cause im selling my enV2?

he said exactly this too me:

Thanks for the prompt response and i will love to make an instant
purchase i will be posting a certified check or money order to cover
the cost of the item while you hold on my behalf. Once you have
this,my mover will come pickup at you place.I will be needing the
following information to issue out the payment . . .

1.Name to be on the check

2.Home address

3.Telephone

4.Your state,city and zip code

** Pls note that the payment for the item will be send to your address
asap. I have taken a close look at the advert and am completely
satisfied i really need this and will appreciates that you help save
this for me till the payment arrives as it will save me some extra
cost**

Completely fake. Don't fall for the scam.

Any check that you would get from them will be a counterfeit.

Only deal with local buyer and only accept cash.

Definitely a scam. These things you'll see 3 to 4 times a day when selling things on CL. Sell and buy locally only--with someone you can meet in person and speak to over the phone! Notice that in these scams they never mention what the item is, and only refer to it as the item or the advertisement.. Real people will leave you a name or number and refer to the actual item... Good luck!
