I'm selling a vehicle and afraid of being scammed.?

I am selling a vehicle to a man who will be paying in cash but then wants me to endorse the back of a check that he has written out to me and he will be cashing at his own bank later. He says it's for his accounting records and shows what the money was used for in his records.

This doesn't make sense to me. Is this a scam, and what is he getting out of it, if he's cashing his own check?

if hey pays cash then make a coppy of the sellers report for him do not sign a check for him, if he wont agree to this then dont sell it to him that simple. if it doesent feel right than it isent.

This smells bad to me. I'm not sure what his reason for the check is, but just walk away if he insists on this. Normal would be for him to give you the cash, then you write him a bill of sale and sign the title and give it to him.
