 Reason NOT to buy an older Lexus? I've been looking for a good used car. I found a Lexus GS400. The bad news is that its 11 years old (1998) and it has 134,000 miles on it. The good news is that it has been very well taken care of. All regular maintenance done on time and at the dealership. The owner has service records going back to 5,000 miles to prove it. The interior and exterior look amazing. The owner just put $2000 into the car as preventative maintenance (New suspension, radiator, tires, etc). The asking price is $8000. I need to get 200k miles out of this car before it would need any expensive repairs. It seems to be in great shape, but I've never owned a Lexus. Does anyone know anything about Lexus that would keep you from thinking this is a good used car to buy?      |
