 2001 Honda Civic Question Broken Cattalidic Converter? My mom's car (2001 Honda Civic) the metal plate or something that covers the cattalidic converter fell off. We have been hearing different things like: 1. if you dont get it fix something could catch fire like grass or whatever and 2. No you dont need to get it fixed you are fine. Does anyone know what we are "really" supposed to do? We have been getting estimates for $350-$400 to get it fixed. If we dont have to get it fixed, what about in the winter time with all the snow and stuff... will it be affected? Another guy said if we dont get it fixed that rain and weather will corode the part or something and just make the whole situation worse. I dont know. Any advise would be great. Thanks      |
