1994 mercury cougar has no light on the dash and will not start?

when i put the key in the ignition it ding i turn it to run and the blower works also the head lights work and that is it, there is no light of any kind and the car will not start or even turn over the windows will not work nothing at all the battery is new and all the problems just happened all at once.
