Saab 93 convertible key will not start engine?

hello people my problem is on saab 93 convertible 2001 y reg 2.0 se turbo, i have only had a couple of weeks and the problem has only just started to rise, problem is key unlocks the alarm ie central locking, switches on the ignition but will not start the car, there is no turn over from the engine its like the engine is dead, i locked the car came back after an hour and it started fine, now the car has been left for two days come back to start it and the same problem its like the immobilizer is still activated as the ignition lights come on but will not start the engine, any advice or help is much appreciated

just thought i will let the car roll and it started up straight away in 2nd gear took it round the block stopped switched it off and i wouldnt start, what coulb be the problem?
