I've a 2004 2nd gen. No problem with it. just the usual oil change and barke pads. If you want to really know about this car go to - solaraguy.com - if you dont find your answer here then look nowhere else. This member knows all about this cars, sometimes more than Toyota.

I actually work at a toyota dealership. Toyota, Nissan aand Honda are some of the most reliable cars out on the market. I would get a solara myself if I could afford it. Its not the car to get if your looking for a fuell efficient car.
