Questions on Saab Reliability?

I've always wanted a Saab. I'm commuting to college about 70 miles a day three days a week (all highway luckily), but there's a portion of my trip that goes over a mountain and I live in VT. Vermont alone gets some pretty crazy weather, but it could be a sunny winter day at the bottom of the mountain and a complete blizzard on top of the mountain. So I need a car that's good in all weather conditions, which I know Saab's are. Mainly I'm interested in a 1999+ 9-5 or a 2003 or 2004 9-3. Are those models reliable? Do they last a long time? I do regular maintenance and I obviously wouldn't buy a car that looks beat or that hasn't been maintained.
