how can i find a partial license plate and match it with a name?

my house was teepeed by some teenagers and as i walked up to the car who did it they drove away. it was a small white car (sudan or coupe) and the first three license plate numbers was "5bp"..either that or "5bb".
i live in Irvine, CA.
can anybody track this information down? a name perhaps? any suggestions would be greatly appreciated
