1999 Saab 9-3 SE. Good deal, or a trick? Hey Guys. I am 16 and I'm looking at buying a 1999 Saab 9-3 SE for my first car. I love the look and vibe from this car... fits my personality. I found one for sale at a very large used car dealership... apparently one of the biggest in the country. They claim that they are able to give good prices because of their volume, low costs, etc etc. From the website: "Ranked #1 volume dealer in the USA (documented by Auto Trader publishing)."
From what I can tell, it's got a lot of features.. Leather seats, no CD, Moon Roof, A/C, etc. It has a little under 91,000 miles on it. It's dark blue with a 4 CYL.2.0 LITER engine and Automatic Transmission.
I haven't physically gone up to look at it, but I'm a cautious person and want to be sure of my purchase. I'm going to go look at it in a week or so with my Dad, who isn't very car-savvy.
about a month ago it was listed at 3000 dollars, but recently has been lowered to 2500. If i remember, Edmunds.com says it should be in the 5k range.
I don't know if the price is due to their size as a dealership, or because there's something wrong... What kinds of questions should I ask? What should I check? I need some guidance. I WILL be looking at the Carfax report when i go to check it out. Thanks. |
