can u help me plz! i want my camaro running!?

i have an 87 IROC-Z camaro thts been sitting in my driveway here in oregon for an good 5 yrs which i wish i would of never done but i want to get her running an im going have an mechanic do it and also right before she started to sit i filled up the tank. so how much do u think it'll be to get her running? iv been told around 1k how much are u thinking? the car was just in the open driveway with no cover
by the way i had an guy from les shwab try getting the battery running an he couldnt and he said it might start with an tune up. when he was charging the battry he was try to start her and it would start barley then shut off right away.
