Should I purchase a 1993 Saab 900S?

I've been looking for a cheap 2nd car to drive to work and run errands to keep miles off of my other car (it's a lease). I found a nice old Saab 900S sedan for $1250 being sold by a private owner. The car has 209,000 miles on it, but the owner reported that they are mostly highway miles and the only thing wrong with it is the air conditioning. The engine, 5-speed manual transmission, and clutch are all original and he's had it serviced religiously by a reputable Saab mechanic. He is also the car's original owner and said his wife drove it (which makes me think it was probably driven with care). Is this car worth buying? Is there anything I should be concerned about? If anybody owns an old 900, what is your experience with the car?
