Why are my left rear brake lights not working on my 2000 corvette?

The right side brakes are fine. I replaced the bulbs so I know that it isn't the bulbs.
I don't know if right and left sides have different fuses because I can't read the legend/map of the fuse box.
Are there any options besides the bulb and fuses?
I don't wanna take it to GM as I know they will charge me about $300 for a $5 job....Thanks

you are are the right track by changing the bulbs and checking fuses but there will only be one fuse for your rear brake lights. your problemm is most likely a short in the wiressomewheree between your signal and the lights themselvess. there could even be a short within the signal on your steering column.
