Default How would you convince your parents to let you buy a car?

Yea so I have about 8200 dollars saved up, car I want is 14k (probably negotiable), and I have a job to help pay for the car, since some of that money I saved up is going toward the down payment. The payment would be around 329 dollars for 3 years, and I make about 200 dollars more than that usually. I just need help convincing my parents to let me buy the car. Just need them to help with insurance and that's it basically. I could basically pay this years insurance, maybe next years as well.
nahh, I got some money in my regular account, and some in my CD collecting interest, I'm not using all of it, my parents said they'd help when I need it, and I'm gonna need it since my 17th birthdays in a few months. Both my parents have big SUVs, and I feel like I'm driving a tank, lol.

u can talk about how your more responsible now and how you have the money for it and your wokring hard and its somthign you really want and it would save them the trouble so this way they dont have to stop what their doing to take u anywhere and if u take the bus as well its more convenient for u aswell and if u have any siblings you can pretend you'll drive them around :P

Why dont you look for a car that is a little cheaper. I mean 14k is a lot for a first car.
You say the payments will be $329.00 for 3 years and you USUALLY make 200 more then that? Dont forget gas and also repairs.
I am sure you want this car really bad,and I understand that.
But do you really want a car that will take all of your money? Once the new ness of the car wears off you will be tired when you never have any money to go out with friends.
I would really look at something cheaper.
