Default I purchased a used car as is, with a safety issue.?

I traded in my older car for another car. I purchased the new one as is. When I drove the new one home, The seat belts light came on. The car gave me an error message, that the seat belt safety restraint system does not work. Is it to late to return this vehicle.

yes. AS IS measn just that - no warranties or guarantees. You should have had a thorough mechanical inspetion first. Now you just get to fix your car.

and you should have seen that when doing the test drive ... when you buy as is you buy as is you got just what you payed for..... you must check out things before buying man... you do a walk around and look at the outside check the tires the tail pipe under the car for any signs of wear or oil leaks.. you get in a start you check for how well it starts and any funny sounds it should nt make... you check all the buttons and switches to see if they work.. you drive it for 30 minutes and recheck everything you check the first time then you buy or not.. your stuck with it now its your car
