Default Do they make a special tool to take off a belt tensioner, '98 Grand Am?

I have a '98 grand am 3.1 that is giving me all kinds of heck. The belt tensioner either needs replaced or just tightened. I can not get to it even if I raise of lower the engine. Please help me.
